I grew up between needles and fabrics as a tailors daughter.  Always creative and searching for my own ways, I've ended up in different worlds of textiles. In the commercial textile industry, I worked as a designer for over 15 years.

I have been working as a lecturer at NHL Hoge School Leeuwarden since 1992.

As a textile artist, I am guided by what touches and inspires me. I translate that into a story and connection. In my immediate area, I search for themes, patterns, colors and structures. Materials and techniques end up in a process and eventually form the story I want to tell. In addition, I would like to invite other artists to supplement my concept and work.

I hope to have informed you sufficiently and briefly to be curious about my work. In a personal conversation, I would like to explain more.
